SeenTube is a Chrome extension that tracks which YouTube videos you've watched, entirely on your own device. This page explains exactly what data the extension touches and what happens to it.
For videos you watch on YouTube, SeenTube stores: the video ID, title, channel name, thumbnail URL, duration, how much of it you've watched, and timestamps of when you watched it. It also stores your extension settings (watched threshold, badge preferences).
All of this is stored using chrome.storage.local — a storage area private to your browser profile on your own device. It is never transmitted anywhere.
SeenTube requests two things:
The extension's Settings page lets you export your entire history as a JSON file you control, or permanently delete all of it at any time. Uninstalling the extension also removes all locally stored data.
